A redesigned first-time user experience for a beauty tech app. Shifted from a high-friction scan-first flow to a value-first, modular onboarding that improved Day-1 retention from 17% to 25% (a 47% improvement).
This prototype demonstrates the 4-step entry flow: contextual mini-tutorials embedded at key moments, a flexible navigation structure that lets users explore before committing, and micro-interactions designed to build trust progressively rather than front-load effort.
