Context
While our primary service was an AI-driven "Daily Routine," the introduction of high-intensity devices (e.g., hair trimmers, blackhead removers) required a new way to manage non-daily, specialized treatments. I led the design of 'Spa Moment,' a feature that allows users to create their own "special care" routines while maintaining the integrity of the app's safety guidelines.
Objective
To build a high-autonomy creation flow that empowers users to customize [Body Part - Device - Tutorial] combinations, while ensuring these complex routines remain accessible and safe within the existing ecosystem.
Approach & Logic
I focused on a "Freedom first, Validation last" strategy. Users can build any routine they desire, but the system performs a final safety check before the routine is committed to the calendar.
3-Step Creation Flow : Users navigate through a logical hierarchy—Choose Body Part → Select Devices → Map Tutorials. This ensures 100% manual control, allowing users to build a "Spa Moment" that perfectly fits their specific needs.
Just-in-Time Validation : When the user clicks "Add to Calendar," the system triggers an Overuse Audit. It automatically cross-checks the frequency limits of selected devices against the user’s existing 7-day schedule to prevent skin irritation or device misuse.
Conflict Resolution UI: If a conflict is detected (e.g., exceeding the weekly limit for a specific treatment), the UI presents two clear resolution paths:
Option A: Remove the conflicting device from the new Spa Moment.
Option B: Keep the Spa Moment as is, but Skip the conflicting session in the existing Daily Routine.
Dual-Path Calendar Sync: Once validated, users choose how the routine is integrated into their schedule. They can either "Replace" their Daily Routine for that day or "Add" the Spa Moment as an additional session, ensuring a clean and organized calendar management.

Advanced Care Builder & Conflict Resolution:
Modular Customization: A step-by-step builder for creating bespoke Spa Moments, including a final editing stage to reorder or refine the sequence.
Intelligent Conflict UI: If a conflict is detected (e.g., exceeding weekly usage limits), the UI presents two clear paths:

Dynamic Home Hero: The Hero section recognizes scheduled Spa Moments and dynamically prioritizes them, displaying required devices and steps at the right time.
Service Widgets: Widgets reflect the next upcoming task (Daily or Spa Moment), bridging the gap between the app and the user's daily life.
Flexible Expert Support
Curated Editor’s Picks: The system provides professional, situation-based routine presets (e.g., Post-Party, Bridal Bliss, Fitness Recovery Care, After Sunbath) designed by experts. These serve as a reliable foundation for users who want high-quality results without building a routine from scratch.
Device Replacement Flow: To ensure accessibility, I designed a flow that suggests Alternative Devices. If a user does not own the recommended expert tool, they can easily swap it with a compatible device they already possess, allowing them to complete the professional routine without barriers.

Integrating Specialized Care into the Existing Ecosystem
The primary focus of this project was to ensure that the new 'Special Care' functionality could coexist with the existing 'Daily Routine' ecosystem without friction. By implementing Tab-based navigation for clear information hierarchy, adjusting the Home Hero and Widgets for better accessibility, and establishing Conflict Logic for data integrity, I enhanced the overall logical consistency of the app system.
Current Status
Final Design Complete: Handed over to the development team.
Expected Release: Scheduled for production in Q3 2026.
